I joined Booths in October 2023 and progressed rapidly from Warehouse Operative to Fresh Food Warehouse Supervisor by February 2024. I am currently completing a Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship, strengthening my leadership capability and operational management expertise.

I have been working at Booths since July 2025. I love it! I have met some really nice colleagues, who have welcomed me as part of their team. I do like to work independently, stacking the shelves on the shop floor, using the scanner to print out price reductions. I also take the recycling to the warehouse, separate the card and plastics, and take them to the outside bins. I have met some lovely customers at Booths, who often ask me to help them. I hope to stay working at Booths, it is a very happy, friendly place to work.

I joined the company in 2018 when I moved from Portugal to the UK, my journey started at Riversway working in the pre pack department as a Machine Operative. I fulfilled this role for 5 years and was then promoted to a Team Leader helping with the smooth running of the department and training new colleagues on the machines. After 4 months of being a Team Leader, I was promoted to Supervisor in AGP department at Bluebell way.I have been Supervising for almost 2 years and in the beginning it was a big challenge because everything was new to me, I had to learn about new products and how to do the production plan based on the allergen which was the biggest change, but with the support of my new team it was easier than I thought it would be. In 2 years as Supervisor I have made good progress and continue to learn and challenge myself.

I began my journey with Booths in 2013, joining the business through TUPE from Sharrocks Fresh Produce as a Transport Supervisor. Over the years, I have been fortunate to grow within the organisation, progressing into the Planner Co-ordinator role and, since 2022, serving as Transport Manager. In 2019, I enrolled in the Booths Talent Academy, a programme that played a key role in developing my leadership, operational, and people-management skills. The support, culture, and opportunities provided by Booths have been fundamental to my professional growth. Looking back, I’m proud of what I’ve achieved and how far I’ve come. Booths has been a great place to work, and I’m grateful for the chance to contribute to the business while continuing to develop within a company that genuinely invests in its people.

I started working at Booths in June 2025 after joining through the WorkFit programme, which helps people with Down syndrome find meaningful employment. From my very first day, my colleagues have really looked after me. They’ve supported me, guided me, and made me feel welcome every step of the way.I’ve learned so much since I started, and I feel like part of a team that truly cares. Working at Booths has given me confidence and a real sense of purpose. I enjoy my job, I enjoy helping customers, and it means a lot to know that what I do makes a difference.
